Angeal is a SOLDIER: Class 1st. Whether it is by duty or by choice, he has taken SOLDIER:Class 2nd Zack Fair under his wings, assisting in his training to become a Class 1st. His is close friend with the legendary Sephiroth, as well as Genesis, who also happens to be his childhood friend, the two growing up in Banora Village together.
While Genesis is passionate, Sephiroth is distant and cool, and Zack is hyper and biting at the bit for action. Angeal plays the role of the peace maker, the level headed, 'think before you leap" -type personality, and he looks out for his friends. Somewhat mix of eldest brother and fatherly. He presses into them the importance of pride and having dreams and aspirations.
Angeal's story should be a sad one, and up until he end, it seems like he will be the tragic hero, but somehow there is a feeling of peace and resolution for Angeal at the end of Crisis Core
