and in your soul they poked a million holes

But you never let em show, come on it's time to go...

Sephiroth, the Legendary SOLDIER Class: 1st. The trio (consisted of Sephiroth, Angeal, and Genesis) often snuck off together for downtime and relaxing. Though Sephiroth is hard to read, his feelings for Angeal are shown after Angeal leaves SOLDIER. He downright refuses to participate in one mission, not wanting to have to hunt his friend down. He does later agree to accompany Zack. Although Zack does admire and respect Sephiroth, he demands to know if he plans to harm Angeal (as Shinra wants Angeal back dead or alive) should they find him-- Sephiroth has no intentions on hurting his friend. He's going because he is worried for Angeal. We learn from Sephiroth that Angeal preached to him as well about dreams and pride, proving that Angeal saw enough potential in Sephiroth to take time the time try and positively influence him. During their sparring session that was quickly took a violent, darker turn, it is Angeal who thrust himself between his friends, in a desperate attempt to break up the fight, not wanting to see either of them get hurt or fight each other with malice. He even has this expression that kind of reads "what the hell?! ". While Genesis is furious with Angeal's interuption, Sephiroth breaks out of the apparent Genesis-tunnel-vision he was in, and murmers Angeal's name as realization dawns upon him- he and Genesis managed to turn a friendly sparring session into overkill so much so that Angeal, his voice thick wih stern concern, feels forced to use his very body (though he does have 2 swords, he's pretty much sandwiched between two legenday SOLDIER: Class st) to separate the two.
