The Antagonist. Hojo's true and only love is in scientific discovery. He has Zero ethics and a blatant disregard for the lives of others. Killing Aeris's parents, the entire Jenova project and everyting that occured subsequently, countless people who died as Sephiroth clones...

By all accounts, his actions had this awful domino effect. Kind of Kefka, but in a lab coat (and sans the insane makeup).

There Was a Crooked Man.... By all means, before the Nibelheim Incident, Zack probably was creeped out by Hojo. The way he blatantly mocks Genesis when he comes to kill him and Angeal and Zack stop Genesis. The way he hobbles about mumbling on pseudo-prophetic ramblings, utter arrogance. Hojo is the epitome of weird. But hey, as a SOLDIER, Zack had to protect him. Hojo is also the jerk that kept poor Zack and Cloud in those tanks for some four years as human guinea pigs.
