Treasure Princess. Yuffie is from Wutai, once a great nation, forced to turn to tourism to support itself. Not wanting her homeland to be a tourist attraction, Yuffie collects, well steals, Materia to help Wutai fight Shinra. Zack first meets Yuffie during his mission in Wutai at Fort Tamblin. She 'beats him up' and Zack, seeing she is a kid, falls over and pretends to be defeated so she will leave and go somewhere safe. Later, Zack receives emails from the Treasure Princess, who is actually Yuffie. She uses information she receives from the blond man (how many blonds in Crisis Core? Let's assume it's Lazard) and enlists Zack's help to collect Materia. She shows up during those quests to take his Materia. What a delightful child.
